Such a waste.
I was a big fan of Whitney Houston and thought she was brilliant in The Bodyguard with Kevin Costner.
She will be missed.

many people who" become jw`s" through the ministry are people who are , at the time , in a vulnerable state.
{ lets face it had you been in your right mind you would never have accepted it right ?}.
many of the people who are" born in" are by that very fact vulnerable they never had a chance and were indoctrinated from an early age .. of course their going to have a lot of issues to deal with that history shows can take many years to shake off,if at all.. all i`m saying is i think we should give people a lot more space, and allow them to see the bigger picture that we can show them on this site, give them time to absorb the information thats available on this site, some of the things you learn here is a bit much to take in at first, beleive me i`ve been their .
A name is better than good oil, and the day of death than the day of one’s being born. Better is it to go to the house of mourning than to go to the banquet house, because that is the end of all mankind; and the one alive should take [it] to his heart. Better is vexation than laughter, for by the crossness of the face the heart becomes better. The heart of the wise ones is in the house of mourning, but the heart of the stupid ones is in the house of rejoicing.
Better is it to hear the rebuke of someone wise than to be the man hearing the song of the stupid ones. For as the sound of thorns under the pot, so is the laughter of the stupid one; and this too is vanity. For mere oppression may make a wise one act crazy, and a gift can destroy the heart.
Better is the end afterward of a matter than its beginning. Better is one who is patient than one who is haughty in spirit. Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid.

Interesting to see these murderers are now interested in law and human rights. One of the inmates murdered and decapitated his mother.
If these murderers had thought about the rights of the people they murdered they would not now be on death row.
Their innocent victims lost all their rights and had no say in how they were executed.
ok. so i admit i'm stumped.
i left the jws and became christian and have been going through bouts of atheism, agnostisism and back.
that isn't something i want to delve into right now.. i remember seeing on the tv how a couple had their daughter murdered and they said that as christians they forgave the killer.. eh?.
Tammy - In the words of Jack Nicholson in ‘As Good As It Gets.’
‘You make me want to be a better man.'

nancy drew “why is it always okay for god to slaughter and punish ”
This is a valid point. The God of the Bible does not forgive. He did not forgive Adam & Eve but allowed all humans from then on to be born in sin, suffering old age and death. There are many accounts of the people slaughtered by God with no suggestion of them being forgiven. Then his only begotten son was required to allow himself to be tortured to death to pay God back - whatever it was God thought he was owed.
For those who look to the Bible for guidance, the future is not orange but blood red.
Fortunately I see the Bible as a far fetched novel loosely based on a few nomads’ lives - though it’s likely they were mad; a romping yarn with no relevance to the time we presently live in.
This allows me the freedom forgive or not, as I see fit. Oh, the power!

It could be that although Christians believe they are for giving others, they are just biding their time. They wait on their god to do the judging and punishing. This act of faith is worth extra brownie points.
Those of us that believe we are responsible for the way the world of humans is run, have a more hands on approach. ‘Wait on the Lord’ has a hollow ring to it.
I do realize that Christians will see my pragmatic approach as an indication that I am dense, earthly and lacking in spiritual qualities. This is a cross I must bear - my gods demand it.
Hail Caesar!

topgodapexspiritual persons (eg paul)middleatheists, agnostics, secularistsbottomreligionists (eg saul)seemingly in scripture the only persons jesus repeatedly tore into were the religionists (pharisees and sanhedrin or governing body).
it seems he gave the romans (secularists) scant attention, and chose to eat with the likes of prostitutes and presumably also lgbt persons..
Greeks and Romans had over 300 gods. Christians only belive in one god more than atheists.
you all know i was in the uk settling estate issues and that the elders 'wanted to chat with me".. well i left before they could have the meeting i arranged on my "free day".. they turned up at my mothers home and were livid that i had gone, but here is the kicker.. brother heavenly described me as a potential apostate for what i had done, which sent my brother over the edge and he demanded a retraction and apology which they quickly gave him.
he intends to speak with the co when he comes on the matter.. it gets better, elder ballbag actually said "apostates do more good for the congregation than they think.
they pull those who should not be part of the org and clean the congregation" .
If you can’t believe this you don’t have a problem. The difficulty arises once we start believing.
Belief is a can of worms.
first, don't laugh.
i'm not some adolescent teen that is confused about his relationship.
what i am going to relate here has become a maior hard ship and is really gnawing at me.
Re: Can you be in Love with two persons?
Love has no boundaries. If we are capable of love it is impossible to not be in love with any number of people.
However infatuation, lust and obsession are often mistaken for love.
i was following some links researching something to do with my condition when i came across this article by the well known christian author john piper called "don't waste your cancer".. if i had still been a christian when i got my diagnosis i would have been subjected to these sort of pious platitudes.
here are a few gems, read the full article if you wish but not on a full stomach.. .
cancer is not wasted when it is healed by god.
Christians choose to believe in a personal God. Many do not believe their God is responsible for our suffering. Some do and that is the point of contention. Logically, either the Christian God exists and is to blame; exists and is not to blame; or does not exist.
Those of us who do not believe such a God exists, have no need to become alarmed or angry if there are Christians who want to place the blame for suffering on their God. It is in a way an own goal.
